The Australian Ashleigh Barty was the executioner this time of the Belgian Elise Mertens, after signing a double 6-3, in 76 minutes of game, reason why it continues with its sweet state of form after fitting a defeat in its last nine official meetings.
The Dutch Bertens, seventh favorite and who reached the quarterfinals without contesting their meeting after the loss of the Spanish Garbiñe Muguruza, went over the Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, who occupies the 44th position of the WTA list, in an hour of match .
